David Alaba salary: How much does Real Madrid star earn per week and annually in LaLiga?

Ever since David Alaba's arrival in Madrid, he has become an integral member of the Blancos squad.

The Austrian defender came through the ranks of the Bayern Munich academy, but felt the time was right for a new challenge in 2021 and opted to join Real Madrid after spending more than a decade at the German club.

In his very first season in the Spanish capital, Alaba won the Champions League as Real Madrid defeated Liverpool 1-0 in the final and Alaba's work ethic and professionalism have earned him one of the top spots on the wage bill at Real Madrid.

Let’s take a look at exactly how much the Austrian makes at Madrid annually.

    Top earners at Real Madrid

As we have already seen, Mbappe and Alaba occupy the top spots on Real Madrid's wage bill, followed by Jude Bellingham and Vinícius Jr., who are on identical wages at third and fourth place.

Meanwhile, the dynamic Fede Valverde appears at number five as the fifth-highest earner in the squad.

It does perhaps come as somewhat of a surprise that Alaba is ahead of the likes of Bellingham and Vinícius in the salary pecking order at Real Madrid.

Highest paid players in the world

Although it may seem like players in La Liga earn incredible wages, their salaries don't even come close when compared to the top earners worldwide.

Currently, all the players in the top five highest earners globally play in the Saudi Pro League.

Ranking first and second on the list are former Real Madrid attackers Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, respectively, while Riyad Mahrez takes the third spot. Finally, rounding off the top five are Senegalese internationals Sadio Mané and Kalidou Koulibaly.
