    The Blues were crowned champions of England with a 1-0 victory at Manchester United, which made their nine-point lead atop the table with only two games remaining unassailable. Second-placed Arsenal were hammered 5-2 by Aston Villa earlier in the evening, opening the door for Chelsea to clinch the title earlier than had been anticipated.
