According to ESPN,the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) remains intent on securing Ancelotti as the next head coach of the national team. Despite persistent uncertainties, CBF president Ednaldo Rodrigues has reportedly renewed his commitment to waiting for the Real Madrid manager, extending the timeframe for a decision. The latest extension gives Ancelotti time until Real Madrid is no longer in the race for the La Liga title, a decision tied closely to the Spanish club's current standing.

Barcelona currently sit atop the La Liga standings, maintaining a four-point lead over Los Blancos with just five fixtures left in the season. This situation has forced Brazil’s football governing body to reconsider its timeline, waiting to see whether Madrid can mount a comeback or if their title challenge fades away. Real Madrid’s next few matches — including a potentially decisive clash against league leaders Barcelona on May 11 — are being viewed as pivotal. Before El Clásico, the capital club will go up against Celta Vigo, followed by the remaining games against Mallorca, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad.
