    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Despite his lack of speed, the 30-year-old remains a key player for Pep Guardiola's City, making 40 appearances in all competitions. The reigning English champions have struggled for much of the season, falling to fifth in the Premier League and already eliminated from the Champions League. However, they could still end the season with a trophy after reaching the FA Cup semi-finals with a win against Bournemouth on Sunday.

Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven has been named the fastest player in the league, hitting a top speed of 23.1mph. He is faster than Wolves star Matheus Nunes (22.8mph) and Brighton's Yankuba Minteh (22.6mph).
