Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany basks in 'incredible feeling' after Bundesliga title success and congratulates Harry Kane & Co's 'outstanding effort'

Kompany saw his Bayern side crowned champions over the weekend, as Bayer Leverkusen failed to beat Freiburg, handing the title on a silver platter to their bitter rivals. Bayern have taken 76 points from 32 games and have only lost twice, with two games of the campaign to come.

Kompany has guided Bayern to the title in his first season, and after a campaign that saw the Bavarians beaten to the trophy by Xabi Alonso's irrepressible Leverkusen side in 2023-24. Now, the former Burnley boss has taken a moment to reflect on the achievement.

Kompany wrote on X: "We can take a moment now to enjoy winning the Bundesliga, what an incredible feeling! I want to congratulate the players for their outstanding effort throughout the season. You’ve done this together. You’ve won it as a team.

"A big thank you as well to everyone working behind the scenes at this great club, especially in the sporting department. Your hard work matters and it shows. Let’s keep pushing. The season’s not over yet, and there’s still so much to look forward to. Let’s finish strong, together!

Bayern round out their campaign against Borussia Monchengladbach and Hoffenheim before heading to the Club World Cup in June.
