AC Milan submit new offer worth €32m for midfield target as Massimiliano Allegri's revolution continues after Luka Modric and Samuele Ricci agreements

According to a report by Sky Sport, €32 million (£27m/$38m) is the amount excluding bonuses that Milan have offered Belgian side Club Brugge’s midfield star Jashari, whose contract runs until 2029. With Luka Modric set to sign after Real Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign, and a new acquisition from Torino, Samuele Ricci, set to undergo a medical this week, Jashari is expected to be a strong addition, which would help in Allegri’s revolution at the club.

Milan finished eighth in the Serie A last season and failed to salvage a place in European competition. Soon after the conclusion of the campaign, they hired Allegri, who had previously managed the club between 2010 and 2014. With key midfielder Tijjani Reijnders setting sail to England on a new venture with Manchester City, the Rossoneri needed to strengthen their midfield and have since secured the services of Ricci and Croatian stalwart Modric.

While sporting director Igli Tare and co. had players like Granit Xhaka and Javi Guerra in their minds, they are currently interested in signing Jashari, who himself wants to represent his dream club, Milan, in the upcoming days. With European heavyweights Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund also among the interested parties, and Saudi Arabia’s lucrative deals flying in, Jashari is only interested in the Rossoneri.

Milan will kickstart their second Allegri era with the Coppa Italia fixture against Bari on August 17, before facing newly promoted Cremonese in their Serie A opener on August 23.
