How to watch today's Everton vs Brighton Premier League game: Live stream, TV channel, and start time

Everton will christen their new home on Sunday when they walk out at Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first competitive match in the venue's history, welcoming Brighton & Hove Albion in Premier League action. Both sides are still licking their wounds after opening-week setbacks, which should make for a spirited clash as each hunts for an early-season spark.

The Toffees arrive with morale low following a flat 1-0 defeat at newly-promoted Leeds United on Monday. David Moyes' men looked toothless in attack, carved out few genuine opportunities, and were ultimately undone by a late, and hotly debated, spot-kick. With injury woes piling up and little transfer activity to lift the mood, Everton supporters approach this landmark fixture with more nerves than excitement.

Brighton, meanwhile, are chasing momentum. Having ended last season with consecutive away victories, the Seagulls could stitch together a three-match road winning streak for the first time since early 2023. That previous run included a thumping 4-1 at Goodison Park, and they'll look to channel a similar performance at Everton’s new ground.

This will actually be the second straight year they open their away campaign against the Toffees, after last August’s 3-0 win in L4. Brighton have plundered 13 goals across their last five trips to the blue half of Merseyside, a stat they'll be eager to extend.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch, including TV channel, streaming details and more.

Everton team news

Moyes was forced into some head-scratching adjustments at Elland Road. With Vitaliy Mykolenko and Adam Aznou sidelined, James Garner had to fill in at left-back, while a lack of options out wide meant Carlos Alcaraz was shunted to the right flank, a role that did him no favors. Jarrad Branthwaite remains out with a hamstring issue, though Michael Keane looked steady enough in his absence.

The real concern was in midfield, where Everton were second best throughout. After such a limp attacking display, expect Jack Grealish to be handed his first start following a cameo off the bench against Leeds.

Brighton team news

Brighton, in contrast, wrapped up their recruitment early, with seven fresh faces through the door. Only Maxim De Cuyper featured from the start last weekend, slotting in at left-back and lasting the full 90 minutes. Defensive additions Diego Coppola and Olivier Boscagli provide depth, but skipper Lewis Dunk and Jan Paul van Hecke remain the preferred pairing at the back.

Injury-wise, Jack Hinshelwood could be back after missing the Fulham draw with a knock, but Solly March is still working toward full fitness, and Adam Webster faces a lengthy layoff following knee ligament surgery.
