No Galatasaray move for Kwadwo Asamoah, for now

Kwadwo Asamoah will be remaining with Juventus after the Turin club failed to sign Leonardo Spinzzola from Atalanta on transfer Deadline Day.

Asamoah’s future has been one of the most talked about this summer given his situation at Juve.

Massimiliano Allegri has preferred Alex Sandro ahead of Asamoah on the left side of the defence and has used the Ghanaian as his backup.

This saw the 28-year-old grow increasingly frustrated with his situation and requested that he is granted permission to join Galatasaray.

Juve agreed on allowing the Ghanaian enforcer to go on condition that they will manage to secure Spinzzola’s early return from his loan spell at Atalanta.

Juve could not convince the Bergamo side to release Spinzolla and as a result, Asamoah is expected to remain in Turin.

However, Galatasaray can still strike a new deal for Asamoah as the Turkish transfer window only closes on the 8th of Septemeber.
