Kotoko have what it takes to beat Zesco in Confederation Cup decider - Preko

Former Ghana international and ex-Hearts of Oak assistant coach Yaw Preko believes Asante Kotoko are capable of upsetting Zesco United away in their Caf Confederation Cup group stage showdown on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors are set to play as guests to the Zambians in a final matchday tie where nothing but three points will be enough to secure qualification to the quarter-finals.

That CK Akonnor's outfit have lost both away games in the Confederation Cup group stage thus far has left many with little optimism.

“It is not over yet," Preko told Asempa FM.

"I strongly believe that if they [Kotoko] go to Zambia, they can do a miracle there because Zesco United are beatable at their home ground.

"Their venue is a playing ground for all.

“They [Zesco United] are even afraid of Kotoko but Kotoko needs to be calm on the day.

"They have to be cautious and not open up too much. They can score there; they have attackers that can score."

Kotoko currently sit third in Group C, two and one points behind leaders Nkana FC and second-placed Al-Hilal Omdurman.

The Porcupines last played in the group stage of the Confederation Cup in 2008 and in the quarter-finals in 2004.
