Jade Boho wins Liga Iberdrola Player of the Week award

Jade Boho has been voted Spanish Liga Iberdrola's Player of the Week for round 28's matches this season.

The 32-year-old was previously awarded the individual accolade in March, when her late effort helped Logrono to pip Madrid 2-1.

The forward has continued to impress in the front of goal for the top-flight debutants, scoring a pair of goals in their 3-0 win over Rayo Vallecano on Sunday.

The Equatorial Guinea international overcame Atletico Madrid's Angela Sosa and Levante's Estefanía Banini to secure the prize.

Boho accrued 1,600 votes followed by Sosa with 1,400 and Banini with 78 in an open contest that was decided by the fans.

Her goals against Rayo increased her league tally to six goals in the last eight games this season, and the award was her second this term and overall fourth since 2015.

She will aim to rejoice over her latest prize with another impressive outing in Saturday's clash with Real Betis at Ciudad Deportiva Luis de Sol.
