Chelsea confirm Giroud move


Chelsea have completed the signing of Olivier Giroud from Arsenal for an estimated £18 million.

The France international will join the Blues on an 18-month contract with an option to extend it for another year after the two clubs agreed a deal on Wednesday.

Batshuayi seals Dortmund loan

Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi has joined Borussia Dortmund on loan for the rest of the season.

The 24-year-old moves to the Bundesliga side for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign, but BVB do not have an option to purchase him once his stay in Dortmund is finished.

Peter Stoger's side were eager to add a goalscoring threat following the deadline day departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who joined Arsenal for £56 million.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Roma left-back Emerson, who signed a four and a half year deal on Tuesday.

The Brazilian, 23, was installed as a top transfer priority at Stamford Bridge in January after interest in Juventus' Alex Sandro cooled. 

And he has finally been announced as the Blues' second signing of the window after Ross Barkley, in a deal Roma claim is worth £17.5 million as well as a possible £7.8m in add-ons.

Madrid to offer Varane in Courtois bid

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to offer Raphael Varane in part-exchange for Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, claims Don Balon .

Perez wants to sign a new keeper in the summer and feels Courtois is more attainable than Manchester United No.1 David de Gea.

Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Courtois, but Perez hopes including Varane in any deal will help Madrid to win the chase for the Belgium international.


Hamburg to quadruple Arp's salary

Hamburg are ready to quadruple Jann-Fiete Arp’s salary in an attempt to persuade the teenage striker to sign a new contract, according to Sport Bild .

Arp’s current deal runs until 2019 and he earns €500,000-per-year, but Hamburg want to increase this to €2m-per-year and extend the contract until 2023.

Chelsea and Tottenham are among the clubs to have shown an interest in the 18-year-old, who now needs to make a decision on his future.


Chelsea won't sell Hazard to Man City

Chelsea will not allow Eden Hazard to join Manchester City despite interest from Pep Guardiola's side,  The Telegraph reports.

Goal understands City are hoping to beat Real Madrid to the signing of the Belgium international , with the Premier League leaders linked to a £100 million move for him.

However, Chelsea are said to have no interest in letting their star man join their domestic rivals and would even refuse a world-record offer from City.
