Bale shows support for Ronaldo after Portugal star forced out of Euro 2016 final

Gareth Bale has shown his support for Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portugal forward was forced to leave the field on a stretcher in Sunday’s Euro 2016 final against France.

The 31-year-old was in tears after a knee injury which he suffered in a challenge with Dimitri Payet preventing him from playing beyond the 25th minute at the Stade de France.

Ronaldo was praised after he consoled Bale in the immediate aftermath of Portugal’s victory over Wales in the semi-final.
