The Spanish giants are busy assembling another collection of ‘Galacticos’ at Santiago Bernabeu, with club president Florentino Perez famed for that approach to recruitment. After several years of pursuing France international Mbappe, the World Cup winner is reported to have green-lighted a switch to Madrid once he reaches the end of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona, as well as a number of clubs in England, have been monitoring Davies’ situation, but they are set to be left disappointed. Spain is his favoured next port of call, with a new challenge ready to be embraced after making over 180 appearances for Bayern since joining them from MLS side the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019.
