Odion Ighalo joins Yekini in the hallowed ranks of Nigeria's hat-trick heroes

Scoring while representing one’s country begets great feeling not to talk of repeating such feat three times in a match.

On Saturday evening in Uyo, Odion Ighalo scored a hat-trick for the Super Eagles as they overpowered Libya 4-0 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualification game.

The 29-year-old scored his treble in the 4th, 58th and 69th minutes to help the three-time African champions to their most emphatic victory so far in the race to Cameroon 2019.

With that feat, Ighalo joined an enviable class of Nigerian goal scorers who have poached three goals in the colours of the national team.

Goal brings to you the Nigerian players before the former Watford man who were three times lucky while on national duty.
