    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Arsenal have been struggling with an injury crisis in attack after losing Bukayo Saka to a serious issue. The crisis has now been worsened as Jesus' injury also seems a severe one, as the Brazilian seemed to be in immense pain. Jesus has struggled with knee issues in the past and may be facing his own lengthy spell on the sidelines.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Just a few minutes earlier, Jesus was also spotted holding his knee after an aerial duel with Lisandro Martinez. The clash with Fernandes then appeared to serve as the final blow, with Arsenal's medical team needed to carry the 27-year-old off the pitch.

The Arsenal star will now undergo tests over the course of the next few hours so that the Gunners can determine his availability for the short and long-term. It's possible that Mikel Arteta may have to alter his plans for January depending on the severity of Jesus' injury.
