Marcus Rashford is going nowhere! Why Paris Saint-Germain will not make transfer play for struggling Man Utd star this summer

The England international is said to have registered on the recruitment radar of Ligue 1 heavyweights for some time. Talk of a move to France being made has resurfaced as PSG prepare to part with Kylian Mbappe – as the World Cup winner edges towards free agency and a switch to Real Madrid.

The Sun, though, reports that Rashford is set to stay put. He is tied to a £325,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford that is due to run until 2028. That deal will not be broken at this stage, with there no confirmed interest from afar.

The Sun claims that the PSG rumours were used to push the terms of Rashford’s latest terms up, with a source quoted as saying: “PSG have never been interested in signing Marcus. And given his struggles on and off the pitch this season, they have given it no consideration at all. He will not be moving to PSG. He might benefit from the noise around a possible transfer going away so he can concentrate on reigniting his United career.”

Rashford hit a personal-best 30 goals for United last season, earning him his new contract, but has struggled for a spark this season – keeping the rumour mill ticking over – and has only found the target on eight occasions through 39 appearances in all competitions.
