Footage of the three of them speaking during half-time have surfaced, and jokes circulated that Allardyce was positioning himself to take over from Erik ten Hag.

Given that the team is unlikely to qualify for the Champions League, Ten Hag's future at Old Trafford is still up in the air. It is highly unlikely that Allardyce will be in the running to take over from Ten Hag next season as he has not held a managerial position since last season when he was sacked by Leeds United after the team's relegation from the Premier League.
