Transfer escape route? Man Utd outcast Jadon Sancho and struggling Tottenham forward Richarlison top Saudi shopping list ahead of January window

Sancho, who was banished from the first team squad after his public fallout with United manager Erik ten Hag, has not appeared for the club in any competition since the Nottingham Forest clash in August. He has been linked with a move away from the club in the January transfer window and now The Telegraph reports that the Saudi Pro League could offer him an escape.

According to the report, the Middle Eastern league is working on their finances to submit big offers for Sancho and Tottenham Hotspur flop Richarlison in the upcoming window.

The Brazilian striker has been struggling for form ever since he joined the club last summer. In the current campaign, he has scored just two goals in 11 matches across all competitions. The No.9 was recently snubbed by Brazil for their upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifying games.

As per The Athletic, Sancho is not allowed inside Man Utd's senior facilities at all. This means that he has to park his car at the academy building and get ready there. He is also reportedly forced to lock himself into the changing rooms at the academy due to safeguarding directives – ensuring that he does not mix with underage players.

Steven Gerrard-managed Al-Ettifaq had shown interest in Sancho in the summer while Al-Ittihad enquired about the Spurs forward's availability in the last window. It will be interesting to see if the Pro League can land the two players in January.
