'We will miss them a lot' - Liverpool's Kostas Tsimikas drops huge hint over futures of Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold & Virgil van Dijk amid contract uncertainty

As Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold approach the end of their current deals, speculation is rife about their intentions and Liverpool's ability to retain their star power. All three are less than a year from free agency, raising questions about whether Liverpool can reach agreements before clubs gain the right to initiate talks in January.

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Tsimikas openly addressed the uncertain futures of Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold, acknowledging that any decisions would ultimately lie with each player. He emphasised the importance of each individual to Liverpool, noting that should any or all of them decide to depart, the club would undeniably feel their absence.

The 28-year-old stated: “It’s up to them what they will do. For sure, the guys who leave, we’ll miss them a lot because all of them are here for many years. They know what they want from the future, but their thinking is always to enjoy every moment here. I think that’s the most important thing for them, and you don’t know what the future will bring.”

The three stars have been fairly reserved in public discussions regarding their futures, although Van Dijk has given slight indications about his commitment to the club. Speaking recently, he mentioned that talks were progressing, but that he remains focused on Liverpool’s immediate goals.

“My full focus is on Liverpool, wanting to win games that are ahead of me and nothing else," he said.

“What the future will bring I have no idea at the moment. I can only tell you that discussions have been started up and we will see.”

While the club remains hopeful that each player will commit to a new deal, they face stiff competition from clubs keen to lure away top talent, especially as free agents, making high-calibre players like Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold even more enticing. The Reds will play Brighton twice, firstly on Wednesday evening in an EFL Cup fixture before hosting them on Saturday in the Premier League.
