Josh Sargent makes history! USMNT star hits impressive Championship milestone after continuing Norwich City scoring streak against Plymouth Argyle

The USA striker fired in the equaliser in the 67th minute to inspire a comeback win after Morgan Whittaker had opened the scoring for the visitors early in the first half. Six minutes later, Sam McCallum's deflected header found the net to send a packed Carrow Road crowd into a frenzy.

It was Sargent's 14th goal of the season and the strike also helped him become only the second player in Championship history to find the net in nine successive home games. He is the club's highest scorer in the league this season and stands joint-fifth in the Championship Golden Boot rankings.

Sargent has been in a rich vein of form in the Championship and is arguably the most in-form player of the USMNT. Although he missed out on the national camp during the March international break with a slight niggle, there could be no stopping him from forcing his way into the Copa America squad if he keeps banging in the goals.

Sargent will get an opportunity to add to his ever-increasing goal tally when Norwich host Ipswich Town on Saturday. The Canaries are on course to make the Championship playoffs as they currently sit sixth in the table, four points clear of seventh-placed Coventry.
