Ice cold! Why Harry Kane does not wear long sleeves & gloves as Bayern Munich & England star braves conditions in freezing temperatures

The sight of players wrapping up against the elements has become increasingly common in modern football, with many taking to wearing base layers even when the air temperature could be considered relatively mild.

Others like to keep their hands warm despite wearing a short-sleeved shirt, while snoods were briefly a thing before getting banned. Kane has, throughout his record-breaking career, steered well clear of such attire.

He could be considered quite old school in his approach, as a throwback No.9 whose entire game is based around the ability to score goals, and the 32-year-old frontman is not about to change his ways.

Kane has told his Cleats Club channel when asked about his decision to keep arms and hands exposed: “It’s just something I’ve done from a young age and have just stuck with it throughout my whole career.

“When you are out there playing, you are kind of warm anyway. Sometimes in the warm-up or just after we come back out from half-time it’s pretty cold - especially here in Germany, the winter is really cold and snowy - but I’m just used to it now and it’s something I have done for many years.”

Kane broke his trophy duck with Bayern in 2024-25 when becoming a Bundesliga title winner and has hit 85 goals for the German giants through 96 appearances. He is also the all-time leading scorer for Tottenham and England, with the target being found on 73 occasions for the Three Lions.
