VIDEO: Eric Dier arrives in Munich to complete 'amazing' €4m Bayern move and link up with Harry Kane again

The Tottenham centre-back arrived in Germany on Thursday morning ahead of his proposed transfer to the reigning Bundesliga champions. It has been reported that Bayern will pay the London outfit a fee in the region of €4 million (£3.46m/$4.43m).

Dier looked excited ahead of his impending move and told Sky Sports: "FC Bayern is an amazing club. Amazing."

Bayaern manager, Thomas Tuchel, also admitted that the club is indeed on the verge of signing Dier as he looks for additional options in defence.

"He's here in the city and we're trying to finalize a move to have him as another option at centre-back," he told reporters. "We'll wait until everything is done because from experience I know that everything can still fall through at the last minute"

Dier has had limited playing time under the management of Ange Postecoglou, making only four Premier League appearances for Tottenham Hotspur in the current season. Moreover, the arrival of Radu Dragusin would have further pushed him down the pecking order. Now, he has an opportunity to revive his career at Allianz Arena ahead of the European Championship in the summer.

Bayern return to action on Friday after the winter break against Hoffenheim but it remains to be seen if Tuchel will be able to throw him into the mix in front of the home fans. Otherwise, he could start his first game in his new colours against Werder Bremen on Sunday, January 21st in the Bundesliga.
