England Women's 2026 fixtures & results: Lionesses' match schedule, TV channels, live streams & how to watch

England's women's national team went into 2025 with one big aim - that to defend their European title. By beating Spain on penalties in the final of the European Championships, they did exactly that. It was by no means easy for the Lionesses in Switzerland, with a shootout also needed to beat Sweden in the last eight and extra time necessary in the semi-final win over Italy. But at the end of it all, Sarina Wiegman's side came out on top once more, getting revenge on Spain after defeat in the 2023 Women's World Cup final.

In 2026, England were out to topple Spain once again, this time in their 2027 Women's World Cup qualifying group. Only the team that finished at the top of the table would qualify automatically for the tournament in Brazil, with the play-off route set to await the rest. Unfortunately, La Roja would get their revenge over the Lionesses on this occasion, condemning Wiegman's side to the play-offs, which will take place in the latter half of 2026.

GOAL has everything you need to know about England's schedule, fixtures and results and how to watch the team.

  • What results have England Women had in 2026?

England made a fantastic start to the 2027 Women's World Cup qualifying campaign, winning all of their first four games, including one against Spain at Wembley, to sit at the top of the group with two games to play. It meant the Lionesses were in pole position for the one automatic qualifying spot on offer, only needing a point in the away fixture with Spain on June 5 to book their spot at the tournament in Brazil.

Unfortunately, nothing went to plan in Mallorca, though, as England suffered their heaviest defeat of the Wiegman era, and biggest in 17 years overall, as La Roja emerged 4-0 victors to go top of the qualifying group instead. It left the Lionesses needing a massive favour from Iceland, who could not provide it, losing 6-1 to Spain to render England's own win over Ukraine meaningless and leaving them bound for the play-offs instead.

What fixtures do England Women have in 2026?

There will be two rounds of World Cup play-offs, both in the form of two-legged ties. The first tie will take place in the October international break, with England to face a team from League C in Path 1 of the play-offs. Win that and the Lionesses will be through the second and final round, where a winner from Path 2 - either a League B team or a fourth-placed League A team - will await them.

Those games will be played in the international break that takes place across the end of November and the start of December, with the draw to take place on June 18.

  • How to watch England Women in 2026

The rights for England women's national team's games are not the same as the men's team, with ITV the broadcaster for the Lionesses. Games are shown live across its various channels, often on ITV1 or ITV4, and also on ITVX, its streaming service.

If England play against any of Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, though, this can change. BBC holds the rights to broadcast games for the rest of the home nations and, as a result, England's trip to Glasgow to face Scotland at the end of 2023 was broadcasted on BBC One instead of on ITV on that occasion.

For England fans in the United States, fuboTVis the best option for watching games involving the Lionesses. Generally speaking, FOX and FS1 showed European Championship games, while some games are broadcast on ESPN too.
