Endrick out of Club World Cup! Real Madrid striker rocked by injury blow and set for lengthy spell out with hamstring problem

The Blancos have confirmed that their 18-year-old Brazilian wonderkid is nursing a muscle complaint in his right leg. No timescale has been put on his recovery by the Spanish giants, who have surrendered La Liga and Champions League crowns in 2025.

ESPN are, however, reporting that Endrick will be sidelined for several weeks. With that in mind, the talented teenager - who has endured a testing debut campaign at Santiago Bernabeu - will play no part in another bid for major silverware this summer.

Real are set to get their Club World Cup campaign in the United States up and running on June 18 against Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. They will be hoping to reach the final of that competition on July 13.

Incoming coach Xabi Alonso is expected to be at the helm by the time the Club World Cup gets underway, as Carlo Ancelotti prepares to step down as Real boss. He will have some big selection calls to make.

Jude Bellingham should, however, be available to his new manager, with ESPN claiming that the England international will delay surgery on his long-standing shoulder problem until a quest for CWC glory has come to a close - meaning that he will instead sit out the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
