No 'emergency plan'! Chelsea will NOT enter transfer market for new defender despite Levi Colwill's ACL injury

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The Blues were rocked by Colwill's anterior cruciate ligament injury just a week before they kick off the 2025-26 campaign. The 22-year-old defender went under the knife and will miss at least the first half of the new season.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    According to Fabrizio Romano, despite Colwill's injury blow, the Blues have no 'emergency plan' to enter the transfer market and sign a replacement for the England international. The club have full faith in the existing roster, which has been further bolstered with the arrival of Jorrel Hato from Ajax for €43m (£37.5m).
