Yanga beat St. Louis to commence continental campaign on high

Young Africans beat St. Louis 1-0 in the CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg at National Stadium, Dar es salaam on Saturday

Tanzania's Young Africans has begun the Champions League with a 1-0 victory over Seychelles' St.Louis Suns United.

Juma Mahadhi scored for the hosts against the Seychelles side, who were largely dominated the entire game.

It is the first game of preliminary stages in CAF Champions League 2018.

The only goal of the match was scored by Juma Mahadhi the banch warmer who slotted nicely the ball from the corner by Geofrey Mwashiuya.

After the final whistle Mahadhi said their opponents used defensive technique which made the game difficulty but Yanga were lucky to get the lone strike.

As a result, Yanga should win or draw in the second leg to qualify for the next stage of the tournament.
