Kano Pillars want victory over Remo Stars for fans, says Gyang

Kano Pillars forward Amos Gyang says his side are targeting victory against Remo Stars to win back fans' heart at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

Ibrahim Musa's men bowed 1-0 to Katsina United and he felt several poor calls and defensive lapses conspired against them at the Karkanda Stadium.

"We are disappointed losing the match against Katsina United. No doubt, we both played well," Gyang told Goal.

"But we were facing several frustrations from the referee. Though there was a defensive error that allowed their attacker to head the ball unmark same as in Bauchi.

"The referee wasn't favourable with his calls blowing fouls against us at the edge of Katsina box most times and overlooking our opponents own.

"However, that is football, sometimes you lose and sometimes you win. Katsina's match is gone and we've put it behind us. Our focus is now on Remo Stars.

"Our intentions are to win our remaining games and winning against Remo will help us get back the support of our fans. It is an important game and we must work hard to win"
