After departing Japan, Australian Ben Halloran will call the A-League home next season and has settled on Adelaide United as his next destination.
The Covert Agent can reveal that Halloran has been the target of a number of A-League sides but has agreed to join the Reds.
The 26-year-old midfielder left J-League side V-Varen Nagasaki earlier this year and after five years abroad will return to Australia in search of regular football.
Halloran began his career with Gold Coast United in 2010 before a subsequent move to Brisbane Roar and ultimately sealing a deal in Germany with Fortuna Düsseldorf in 2013.
Five seasons in the country followed before a short stint in Japan saw the six-time Socceroo make just four starts.

He'll now join Marco Kurz's side, who have already recruited strongly this off-season having lured Craig Goodwin back to the club and landing foreigners Ken Ilso and Mirko Boland.
Adelaide finished fifth last season and were beaten 2-1 by eventual champions Melbourne Victory in the first week of finals.
