Super Eagles determined to clinch victory against Libya - Semi Ajayi

Semi Ajayi has reiterated Nigeria’s determination to secure victory against Libya when they meet in an African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The first leg of the doubleheader encounter take place on Saturday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium with the return leg billed for Tunisia on Tuesday.

Gernot Rohr’s men are third in Group E with three points from two games behind South Africa and Libya who are tied on four points.

The Super Eagles have failed to qualify for the last two editions of the tournament since clinching the coveted trophy in 2013.

And the Rotherham United defender has revealed the team’s determination to make fans proud by claiming the maximum points against the Mediterranean Knights to brighten their chances of making a return to the competition next year in Cameroon.

“We know the importance of these two matches and are determined to do all we can to secure maximum points to give ourselves the best chance of qualification and make our country proud," Ajayi told NFF media.

"We ask for the continued support from our fans as their support can make all the difference."

Ajayi who made his debut for the Super Eagles in their 3-0 victory over Seychelles last time out will be looking to get involved in the games.
