Good luck, Harry! Juventus maintain magnificent defensive record ahead of Tottenham clash

Juventus maintained their sterling defensive form with a 2-0 win over Fiorentina on Friday, as the Serie A champions extended their run to just one goal conceded in their past 16 matches.

Since losing 3-2 to Sampdoria on 19 November, Juve have recorded 15 shutouts in all competitions — including clean sheets against Barcelona, Napoli, Inter and Roma.

The only blemish during that stretch — which has spanned more than 24 hours of game time — came in a 3-1 win over Hellas Verona on December 30, with former Juve defender Martin Caceres finding the net.

Friday's win also represented milestones for goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who played his 500th league match for Juve, and coach Massimiliano Allegri, who managed his 200th fixture across all competitions.

The Bianconeri have won 14 and drawn two during this impressive stretch, including 10 wins and one draw in Serie A.

Juve now sit atop the Serie A standings, two points ahead of second-placed Napoli and 16 points clear of the rest of the chasing pack.

That's daunting news for Premier League leading scorer Harry Kane and Tottenham, who are next on the schedule for Juve when the clubs meet in their Champions League last-16 first leg on Tuesday at the Allianz Stadium.
