Gor Mahia cashes in a paltry sum from Caf Confederation Cup match

Gor Mahia pocketed a paltry Sh200, 000, less than half the figure collected from their Caf Confederation Cup match against Yanga SC of Tanzania.

The match raised Sh460, 300 but the club only cashed in Sh214, 210 with the rest going to the day's expenses.

Gor Mahia paid Sports Kenya Sh92, 000 for the use of the Kasarani Stadium. Timam, the company contracted to print and sell match day tickets, deducted Sh61, 000, out of which Sh15, 000 went to the ‘expenses’.

The club also paid a similar amount for fire and rescue services, the Police pocketed Sh30, 000 while hospitality and Van hire expenses totalled to Sh41, 000.

This left Gor Mahia with less than a half of the day’s total collection to take home.
