AFC Leopards defender: Forgive me, it was my mistake

AFC Leopards defender Robinson Kamura has admitted that it was his mistake that led to Gor Mahia's goal.

Instead of clearing the ball with the first touch he had, the ex-Mathare United man tried to keep possession and slipped allowing Meddie Kagere to score.

Speaking after the league derby that ended 1-1, the center back is looking forward to help the team continue doing better.

"Yes, it was my mistake that allowed them (Gor Mahia) to score, I could have put the ball out. It is something I could have not done as a defender considering it was in the danger zone.

"Apologies to the fans, and my colleagues, I will definitely work on that," Kamura told Goal.

Kamura assured AFC Leopards fans that the team is moving to safety. "We are doing our best to win games, the quality is there and definitely it is just a matter of time before we get into a good position."

AFC Leopards are now placed in the 13th position with 24 points, 20 behind leaders Gor Mahia.
