Andre Onana (6/10):A quiet afternoon for Onana, who had to make one significant save in the first half to deny Morris. Given the drama that has surrounded some of his performances this season, not being in the headlines will be a welcome relief.Diogo Dalot (6/10):An unusually subdued performance for Dalot, with a lot of United's attacking work coming from the opposite flank. Still, did his defensive job well enough as the Red Devils kept back-to-back clean sheets in the league.Harry Maguire (7/10):His raking diagonal passes were the highlight of a drab first half for United, but with Luton offering little in attack, he had a fairly comfortable afternoon. Made a decent block in the second half when Chong's eyes lit up at the chance of scoring a goal on his return to Old Trafford.Vicor Lindelof (8/10):The most unlikeliest of heroes! <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/man-utd-fans-fume-raphael-varane-benched-again-victor-lindelof-harry-maguire-luton/blt16523a75af1bbb62" target="_blank">Some fans were left wondering why he was even picked ahead of Varane,</a> but ultimately justified his selection with the winning goal as he slotted home from inside the box.Sergio Reguilon (7/10):Effectively played as United's second left winger, such was his position high up the pitch. His energy was a plus point, with one lung-busting run in the second half creating a decent chance for Fernandes, who wastefully fired over.

Goalkeeper & Defence

Christian Eriksen (5/10):Deployed at the base of the midfield and tried to quicken the tempo with his range of passing, only for a knee injury to prematurely end his afternoon in the 40th minute. Another blow in a season that hasn't got going for the Dane.Bruno Fernandes (6/10):As always, looked the most likely to make things happen for United, epitomised by his gorgeous delivery in the 23rd minute that deserved a finish, only for both McTominay and Rashford to fail to properly connect. Will be frustrated he didn't get a goal or assist, but remains pivotal if United are to get their season properly back on track.Scott McTominay (6/10):Part of a dynamic midfield three, he popped up in the No.10 area at times and came close to adding to his tally for the season with a header that looped just over the bar. Had another header in the second half that Kaminski did well to keep out. Won't be losing his place any time soon.

Midfield

Alejandro Garnacho (4/10):He'll be disappointed with that. Was given another chance to really nail down a starting spot, especially given Rashford's lack of form, but didn't take it. Had two decent chances to open the scoring in the first half and wasted both of them, the second a one-on-one that saw him unsuccessfully try to dribble past Kaminski. Bright in possession but with no end product, and was rightly withdrawn in the 68th minute.Rasmus Hojlund (5/10):The wait goes on. Still no Premier League goal for the Dane, and many will go away from Old Trafford wondering how he didn't get on the scoresheet here. His best chance came in the fist half, just 10 minutes in, but he somehow failed to beat Kaminski, who made a miraculous save from close range. Played the target man role well before coming off in the 78th minute to chants of 'What a waste of money' from the Luton fans. His time will come, but it wasn't to be on Saturday.Marcus Rashford (5/10):Blazed over early on when well placed. Put one on a plate for Hojlund soon after with an inviting cross, only for the Dane to somehow fail to score. Squandered a clear-cut chance in the second half as he shot straight at Kaminski from inside the box but while it's not happening for him in front of goal, he did at least smash the ball across in the lead-up to Lindelof's goal.

Attack

Mason Mount (6/10):Loose with his passing at times having been introduced in the first half for the injured Eriksen. In his defence, when he did give it away, he was quick to work back to retrieve and worked hard in the midfield.Antony (6/10):Came on in the 68th minute for Garnacho and immediately put the ball on a plate for Rashford, only for the England forward to waste the chance.Anthony Martial (6/10):Brought on for Hojlund late on in the game and didn't really have time to make a significant impact.Raphael Varane (6/10):Introduced in the second half for the tiring Reguilon and helped United get over the line.Erik ten Hag (7/10):His call to start Lindelof paid off as the Swede's goal ensured all three points against the Premier League strugglers. With his future called into question again after the defeat to Copenhagen, he'll be relieved to have got over the line here. <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chaos-man-utd-erik-ten-hag-suspended-everton-booking-season-luton-win/blt662e3cfbdeac308a" target="_blank">One sour note was his booking at the end that means he'll miss the Everton game</a>.
