Wolfsberger vs Tottenham Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

Tottenham face Wolfsberger on Thursday evening with Jose Mourinho's men aiming to claim a first leg victory in their Europa League last-32 tie.

The game is being played at the Puskas Arena in Budapest because of coronavirus travel restrictions and the Premier League side are overwhelming favourites against the team currently sitting sixth in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Wolfsberger vs Tottenham Latest Odds

The team from the city of Wolfsberg finished second in Group K behind Dinamo Zagreb, winning three of their six games, and bet365 offer them at 7/1 (8.00).

Spurs, meanwhile, have lost five of their last six matches in all competitions but are offered at just 2/5 (1.40) to win on Thursday with the draw at 15/4 (4.75).

Wolfsberger vs Tottenham Team News

Mourinho is still unable to call upon the services of Giovani Lo Celso while Sergio Reguilon and Serge Aurier are both doubts. The likes of Gareth Bale, Carlos Vinicius and Lucas Moura have started regularly in Europe and could do so again here.

Wolfsberger are without midfielders Eliel Peretz and Mario Leitgeb.

Wolfsberger vs Tottenham  Preview

Their form may be questionable at the moment but the north Londoners are overwhelming favourites in this tie - and rightly so.

Spurs have recorded seven wins in nine Europa League games this season, including qualifiers, while Mourinho has won the competition on both previous occasions in which he has competed in it (2003 and 2017).

Wolfsberger, meanwhile, are European novices, playing their first ever continental knockout tie, and they have lost four of the seven games they have played against the top five in the Austrian top-flight this season.

Spurs will make changes to the starting eleven but should still be far too strong for one of the weakest sides left in the competition, and backing the English side to claim a comfortable win makes plenty of sense.

Wolfsberger vs Tottenham Tips and Predictions

The 2018-19 Champions League runners-up are priced at 11/8 (2.38) to win without conceding, while backing them with a -1 handicap at 11/10 (2.10) could also appeal.
