WATCH: Paulinho hits screamer for Brazil vs. Uruguay

Neymar assisted the 28-year-old midfielder's shot from outside the box that canceled out Edinson's opener for the hosts.

Brazil midfielder Paulinho scored on a rocket from well outside the 18-yard box for the first of his three goals to lead his side to a 4-1 win over Uruguay.

The 28-year-old received a pass from Neymar in the middle of the pitch, squared up and fired home the first goal for Brazil in Thursday night's World Cup qualifier.

The goal tied the match at one apiece, after Edinson Cavani opened the scoring with a penalty kick in the ninth minute.

But Paulinho wasn't done yet. His next goal would come in the 59th minute off a rebound from teammate Roberto Firmino's attempt.

Neymar then decided to get in the on the scoring action himself, with a nice chip over goalkeeper Martin Silva

And just for fun, Paulinho rounded off his hat trick with by chesting the ball in to the net in the closing seconds.
