Toure hopes for more goals with Bechem

Bechem United striker Amed 'Simba' Toure is delighted to have scored his debut league goals in their 3-1 defeat of Great Olympics in the Ghana Premier League's matchday one outstanding game on Thursday.

The Burkina Faso international joined the Hunters as a free agent in December and was on target against MC Alger in the preliminary stage of the Caf Confederations Cup but his performance wasn't enough to see them through as they were bundled out of the competition 5-3 on aggregate.

He has since shifted his attention to the league as he aims to help the club achieve success this season.

''It is not easy to score twice against Great Olympics but I'm not targeting the top scorer of the league after this performance. I want to help the young players in the squad to also learn something from my experience and the club achieving success. I scored two goals against Olympics and it is a great start for me,'' Toure said.

''This weekend, we're playing at home and I will try to get a goal or two, the following Wednesday we will play another game and I would want to score. That is my job. I'm a striker so I have to score as many as I can.

"I have played five matches with Bechem in all competitions and scored four goals. It is not a bad performance for a striker and I am not aiming at stopping very soon," he added.

The win over Olympics moves Bechem three places up, to ninth position with four points. They will host Liberty Professionals on Sunday and Tema Youth on Wednesday in matchday two outstanding game.
