Spain vs Sweden Betting Tips: Latest odds, team news, preview and predictions

The last time that Spain played at the Santiago Bernabeu was in September 2017 when they beat Italy 3-0 in a World Cup qualifier and La Roja return to the home of Real Madrid on Monday evening

Luis Enrique's side currently sit top of Euro 2020 qualifying Group J, the only team with a one hundred per cent record following three wins from three.

Their opponents on Monday are the only other unbeaten team in the group, with Sweden having managed two wins and a draw so far.

Latest odds

Spain have not lost a competitive game on home soil since 2003 and bet365 price them at 2/7 (1.28) to record what would be their 19th consecutive home win in European championship qualifying.

The visitors to the Spanish capital are offered at 11/1 (12.00) with the draw at 5/1 (6.00).

Team news

Roberto Moreno continues on the bench for Spain with the assistant coach standing in for Luis Enrique, who has taken a leave of absence due to a family issue.

There were a few experiments in the starting eleven that played against the Faroe Islands on Friday and the likes of Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Dani Carvajal are all likely to come back into the side.

Sweden also have no major injury concerns and enjoyed a comfortable win against Malta on Friday night.

Preview

Friday night saw Spain beat Faroe Islands 4-1 and while the victory straight-forward, the 2012 European champions were disappointed to have conceded from a set piece.

La Roja have kept just five clean sheets in their last 18 games in all competitions with the likes of Norway, Russia and Morocco - as well as the Faroe Islands - all having scored against Spain during that time.

Sweden, for their part, have made a strong scoring start to qualifying, with only two nations in the entire qualifying tournament having scored more than their total of eight goals.

Tips and predictions

Both teams to score is offered at 11/8 (2.37) and this looks like an eye-catching price. We could expect these odds if it was a lower level side visiting, but Sweden are in-form, World Cup quarter-finalists and sit 14th in the FIFA world ranking.
