Apart from their Premier Soccer League (PSL) title defence campaign, Mamelodi Sundowns will be involved in two more cup competitions in the next coming weeks, and legend Roger Feutmba believes that they can challenge on all fronts.
The Brazilians are fighting to defend their PSL crown, but they have the Telkom Knockout Cup and Caf Champions League tournaments coming up to add to their already hectic fixture schedule.
“Even though they are struggling a bit for now to get wins, I think they are still the best team in the country because they are playing good football and are still good,” Feutmba told Goal.
“Coming to the question of whether or not they can cope with three competitions... they have the squad, quality and depth to deal with it,” he responded.
“I think they can manage because they have done it before. This time around they are at an advantage because they brought in new players to reinforce the squad and I believe that the coach and technical team will manage the schedule and load properly,” he explained.

Just like in politics, football has no permanent friends or enemies and that applies to Mosimane and Steve Komphela who will renew their rivalries on the touchline.
The Brazilians will welcome Siwelele in their TKO Cup Last 16 match at the Lucas Moripe Stadium next weekend, and Feutmba reckons it will be a tough clash.
“Yeah, they are friends, but they can be able to separate personal lives and that of a professional,” he added.
“They are good coaches and everytime they meet, they want to win. That will not be an easy match in the TKO Cup as both will want to win the game,” said the Rothmans Cup winner with the Brazilians.
“It's not going to be easy because of a challenging Cup game, but because they both have good players. Celtic are a different team under Komphela and we saw the 0-0 draw in the league,” he reflected.
“Yes, Sundowns had a goal disallowed, but it will be a different ball game this time around because they have the best squad and Celtic are also confident that they can beat Sundowns,” noted the Cameroonian.
Having failed to reach the knockout stages of the Caf Champions League earlier this year, the 2016 African champions will have a second bite on the cherry next month.
The new format of the Caf Champions League is set to get underway in November until June next year, and the Brazilians will have another trophy to fight for.
“It is another chance to get another Caf title, and in football it is difficult to predict the future or the results, but I believe they are experienced to juggle around the tournament,” backed Feutmba.
“There is no doubt about the quality in that team and I still say coach Pitso has the right mentality to manage the squad and ensure they go far. I believe they are experienced now and can push for another star,” concluded the Cameroonian legend.
