Real Madrid will be missing Isco after he was operated on for apendicitis. Dani Carvajal has trained this week after missing the last two games and could return although Los Blancos' other full-back Marcelo has been ruled out after picking up a knock in Seville.
Atletico for their part are waiting on the fitness of Uruguayan centre-back Jose Maria Gimenez who went off during Tuesday night's win over Huesca. With other centre-back Stefan Savic also ruled out Simeone could have a problem in the heart of defence if Gimenez is not fit.

Atletico's record at the Bernabeu is extremely impressive and a ground where they used to consistently struggle has become a place they head to with confidence.
In each of the last two seasons in this fixture Real Madrid have taken the lead after a goalless first half only for Antoine Griezmann to equalise and the game to finish in a 1-1 draw.
