Nurnberg offer trial to Myanmar prospect Kyaw Ko Ko - report

German Bundesliga club Nurnberg are reportedly set to offer a trial to 19-year-old Myanmar starlet Kyaw Ko Ko after his impressive performance at the 26th SEA Games.

An official from Ko Ko's current club, Zeyar Zhwe Myay FC revealed the news to Soccer Myanmar this week although there has been no official announcement from the German outfit.

Should Ko Ko impress on trial and the deal goes through, the teenager would be the first Myanmar player to play in Europe.

The youngster is widely regarded as one of South-East Asian football's hottest prospects and could be on his way to the Frankenstadion permanently.

Ko Ko's performance recently caught the attention of several pundits after being awarded Myanmar's best player honour for 2011.

The teenager had helped Myanmar claim a bronze medal at the 2011 SEA Games in Indonesia scoring five goals during the tournament.
