Michael Madoya hit a brace as Tusker beat past Silver Strikers in friendly

Michael Madoya hit a brace in his debut for Tusker in the Brewers 2-0 victory against visiting Silver Strikers in a pre-season friendly staged on Friday in Nairobi.

Madoya joined Tusker from Zoo FC and the 2017 Kenya Premier League Player of the year showed his true value with a goal in either half.

The diminutive forward gave Tusker the opening goal in the 35th minute before doubling his effort, right after the break from a Marlon Tangauzi’s assist.

Coach Robert Matano used the match to test most of his new signing where Rwanda international goalkeeper Emery Mvuyekure, Sammy Meja, Justine Omary, Muzerwa Amini, and George Oporia all earned their debut with the former Kenyan champions.

Madoyo, who penned a three-year deal with Tusker completed his brace just two minutes after the break to double Tusker’s lead.

Tusker will now turn the focus on the KPL that is set to kick off on December 8.
