The youthful side went down fighting against KPL side Posta Rangers, but the tactician drew positives from the 5-2 lose on Wednesday.

“There has been steady improvement in the team both physically and tactically,” noted coach, perhaps drawing inspiration from the 0-0 draw with the Gor Mahia Youth side and a 2-1 win over Acakoro in the previous buildup matches.

Kenya is in Group B alongside Uganda, Ethiopia, Southern Sudan and Djibouti.

Group A comprises hosts Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, and Sudan.

The winner of the tourney will get a chance to represent the CECAFA region in the Africa U17 Cup of Nations set to be held in Tanzania in May 2019.
