Perak head coach Mehmet Durakovic is jubilant after his charges edged Kuala Lumpur (KL) 2-0 in Cheras, in their matchday three Malaysia Cup clash on Sunday.

The Bos Gaurus' goals were scored by Jad Noureddine in the 40th minute, before Gilmar Filho sealed the win with his 63rd minute goal. The result is their first win in the cup, and their first victory after four winless encounters in all competitions. Coincidentally, their previous win was also against KL at the same venue, a 5-1 league thrashing almost exactly one month earlier.

Speaking to the press after the match, the Australian trainer expressed his delight at the return of his men's winning desire.

"We had a fantastic night tonight, we controlled the game and it was a very good performance. To be honest I think we should have won by more.

"We deserve the three points and I'm very happy. I'm happy with the players, the staff, I can't ask for more," said Durakovic.

The result has allowed Perak to climb up to second place in Group A with four points, three behind leaders Terengganu FC.
