Manchester United vs Tottenham: TV channel, live stream, squad news & preview

Manchester United welcome Tottenham to Old Trafford on Monday as they look to bounce back from their disappointing defeat at the hands of Brighton last week.

Having kicked off the season with a 2-1 victory over Leicester City, Jose Mourinho's men suffered a shock 3-2 loss against a Seagulls side who are expected to be fighting against relegation once more this season.

Spurs, on the other hand, have recorded back-to-back victories in the Premier League this season, beating Newcastle United 2-1 away before claiming a 3-1 win over Fulham at Wembley.

A triumph for Mauricio Pochettino's side would see them keep up with early pace-setters Liverpool and it would heap further pressure on Mourinho, who desperately needs to put points on the board.

Match Preview

It has been a painfully long week for Manchester United and Mourinho following their surprise loss to Brighton last Sunday, but they will be able to set the record straight by responding appropriately against Spurs.

In the immediate aftermath of the 3-2 defeat against Chris Hughton's side, stand-in captain Paul Pogba was forthright in his criticism of the team, suggesting that their attitude was not good enough and that they did not prepare well enough for the challenge, while Mourinho complained about his players making too many mistakes.

The Red Devils boss was particularly morose about the entire affair, chiding a reporter for pondering whether or not his team lacked "chemistry" against the Seagulls and his pre-match press conference was a continuation of that theme as he showed up half an hour early, before leaving after just four minutes.

A sour atmosphere is gripping the club currently and it could well deteriorate further should they fail to pick up a win against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Monday.

Spurs will be eager to exploit the apparent disharmony that is afflicting United and, despite not adding any new faces to their squad during the transfer window, Pochettino's team are more than capable of upsetting their hosts.
