Liverpool are looking to get their Champions League campaign back on track on Wednesday night when they welcome Red Star Belgrade to Anfield.
After a thrilling last-minute 3-2 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in their opening match of the tournament, the Reds got a taste of their own medicine last time out when Lorenzo Insigne won their clash with Napoli at the death.
Red Star were demolished 6-1 by PSG three weeks ago and so it is little surprise that SportPesa make Liverpool just 1/20 (1.05) to take the points here, with the visitors available at 37/1 (38.0).
GettyThat price on Jurgen Klopp’s men will be far too short for almost every punter but SportPesa are offering new customers a massive 50/1 (51.0) on the Reds to claim victory on Wednesday. T&Cs apply, £1 bet. Winnings paid in bonuses.
Although Liverpool have not been firing on all cylinders this season, with their tally of 16 Premier League goals the joint-lowest in the top six, it would take a brave punter to back against them on Wednesday.
The Reds were unstoppable at Anfield in the Champions League last season, netting 20 goals there in just six matches – including a 0-0 draw with Porto – with a 7-0 thrashing of Spartak Moscow the highest-scoring affair.
Getty ImagesAnfield has been somewhat of a fortress for Liverpool under Klopp, with the German overseeing 23 wins and just two home losses in the last 35 games there in all competitions.
Although Red Star have certainly made an impressive start to the season, winning 11 of their first 12 games to sit seven points clear already, their European record is far from enviable.
As well as that 6-1 loss in Paris, the Serbian outfit lost 1-0 at CSKA Moscow back in February and have won only one of their last seven away matches in continental play – a 2-0 triumph in Suduva.
It is very difficult to see Liverpool not coming out on top in this one and so the 50/1 (51.0) available on the Reds to claim victory here looks extremely appealing ahead of Wednesday night’s action.
