Jurgen Klopp has admitted that he would “one day” welcome the opportunity to manage Germany, but claims to remain fully committed to Liverpool for now.
Speculation linking the Reds boss with an international post has surfaced again on the back of the 2018 World Cup.
With defending champions Germany having suffered a humbling group stage exit in Russia, questions have inevitably been asked of Joachim Low.
He is, however, tied to a long-term deal with Die Mannschaft and Klopp is working on a contract through to 2022 at Anfield.
There is, therefore, no chance of the latter switching roles any time soon, with Klopp telling Welt am Sonntag: “If I am asked one day and I am available then I would think about it.

“But am I thinking about it right now, in my current situation when I am tied to Liverpool for the next four years and because Germany have just played a bad World Cup? No. I'm not available.”
For now, Klopp’s focus is locked on domestic football in England.
He has just overseen a £177 million ($226m) summer spending spree, with a coach who has been opposed to such investment in the past admitting that he has had to move with the times.
Klopp said of his window work on Merseyside and what can be achieved by Liverpool in 2018-19: "I still do not like it [spending big].
“But I cannot say now ‘we will not go there’ because my job is to make Liverpool as strong as possible.
“Regarding our net spend in the past transfer windows, we are still far behind any of our rivals.
“The quality of the players is now there, but the quality of a team depends on whether the players can reach their potential.”
Liverpool are set to open their 2018-19 Premier League campaign at home to West Ham on Sunday.
