ISL 2018-19: Delhi Dynamos' Josep Gombau - We are working on finishing chances

Profligacy is a concern for Delhi Dynamos head coach Josep Gombau ahead of his team's second Indian Super League (ISL) match against ATK on Wednesday.

The Lions were held by FC Pune City in their season opener after Diego Carlos netted an equalizer in the 88th minute. Gombau feels the match is winnable but conceded that his team needs to convert their chances.

"After the match against FC Pune City, we had exactly two weeks to prepare for this game. During this period, some of the players were missing as they went to play for the national side. We are ready to play tomorrow.

"The team is in good shape. We worked hard for the match. I think it will be a good match and we will win the match.

"In the last match, we created many chances but we missed them. If we want to win the matches we need to improve this. We are working hard on this aspect. We are working on finishing. But creating chances is also a positive thing," the coach said.

Lallianzuala Chhangte was a tagged as a player with a great future by Joep Gombau but his area of concern is once again finishing.

"Chhangte is a very good player. He is quick and creates a lot of chances. He has got a good mind. He is working hard to try and improve his finishing. For me, he is a player who has a great future."

Although ATK have lost their first two games, Gombau believes Dynamos will be made to work hard for three points.

"ATK have a very good squad. I don’t measure the value of a team by their individuals but as a team. Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be a difficult game for us. All the teams in ISL are strong and the games are decided by little things. We need to work hard."
