Coach David Ouma wants Harambee Starlets to show character against Rwanda

Harambee Starlets coach David Ouma has called on his players to show character when they play Rwanda in the last match of the Cecafa Women’s Championship.

Starlets bowed out of the race for the regional title after suffering a second defeat, in their third match against Ethiopia on Wednesday.

And with just a point to show for their one week stay in Rwanda, Ouma, who will next take on the hosts in a want his players to give their best in the final match.

"We have quality players. They just need to show character while approaching matches,” the tactician said after going down by a solitary goal to Ethiopia. 

Kenya kicked off their campaign in teh five-nation champions, on a wrong foot after suffering a 1-0 defeat against Uganda.

Starlets then played a 1-1 draw with Cecafa holder Tanzania in the second match before succumbing to Ethiopia in the next game.

Kenya are yet to pick a win since their big fall at the last hurdle against Equatorial Guinea in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers on June 9.
