Change of guard at Sofapaka ahead of 2017 action

Sofapaka have announced three changes in the technical bench and team leadership ahead of their first league match slated for Sunday.

According to a statement obtained by Goal from the club, former Harambee Stars team manager Willis Waliaula, who spent some time with Ushuru in January, has been appointed in the same capacity replacing Lione Kuasi, who is now the fitness trainer.

Head coach Sam Ssimbwa has also named Maurice Odipo and keeper Mathew Kigonya as the club’s captain and 1st assistant captain respectively. Johnston Bagoole is now the 2nd assistant captain.

This announcement, comes a few hours after chairman Elly Kalekwa promised that the club will soon unveil a new sponsor to easen their financial burden throughout the season.
