With the champions scoring freely at home and the visitors struggling on the road, this game looks like a comfortable victory for the Catalan giants

Over the last week we have seen two very different Barcelona sides turn up for their respective matches. Last Sunday's game at Real Betis was notable for the Blaugrana's utterly lacklustre showing until the final 15 minutes when they began showing their quality to salvage a 1-1 draw.

Wednesday though, saw Luis Enrique's men come flying out of the blocks in their Copa del Rey semi final at Atletico Madrid, in stark contrast to their previous league performance.

The Catalans raced into a 2-0 half time lead at the Vicente Calderon before being pegged back in the second period by a much improved home side. Nevertheless, Barca return to Catalonia with a 2-1 first leg lead and will fancy their chances of making it through to the final to defend their cup crown. Their next opponents are the side they knocked out of the Copa in the last eight, and Athletic Bilbao gave Barca a real scare.

A 2-1 win for the Basques in Bilbao was overturned by a 3-1 home win for the Catalans at Camp Nou, although Barcelona were one goal away from being eliminated.

However, while Barca have had problems away from home against Athletic, at home the champions boast an excellent record against the Basque Country outfit who are winless in Barca's stadium since 2001.

Understandly, Betfair offer a home win at just 1/9 (1.11) while the visitors can be backed at 10/1 (11.00) and the draw is offered at 5/1 (6.00).

While Athletic have scored in three of their last four visits to the Camp Nou, their scoring record on the road this term has been surprisingly poor with Ernesto Valverde's men netting just seven league goals away from home. That is the joint lowest total in the Primera Division, alongside relegation threatened Sporting Gijon, and Atheltic have scored just one league goal away from San Mames since the 23 October and could be on the wrong end of a one-sided scoreline here.

As the visitors have been struggling to score on the road, Barca have been prolific at home with their last six matches at Camp Nou bringing 28 goals. Given the sides' respective records therefore, a pretty comfortable home win looks on the cards and backing Barca to win with a -2 handicap at 6/4 (2.50) should offer decent value.

This selection easily paid out in the corresponding fixture between these to two sides last season, and is offered at a tempting price for a repeat.
